Heavenly Lime Tart

Here’s a light and refreshing lime tart that will impress everyone.



  1. Preheat oven to 350 deg.
  2. Using an electric mixer, beat together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add kahlua, salt and 1/2 cup chocolate and beat just until combined. Using a wooden spoon, and being careful not to overmix, stir in the flour.
  4. Pat into bottom and sides of 9 inch pie pan or tart pan with removable sides. Freeze for 15 minutes.
  5. Bake at 350 deg. for 8-10 minutes until lightly browned. Cool completely.
  6. Bring sugar, cornstarch, whipping cream, lime juice, butter, and grated peel to boil in saucepan. Cool completely.
  7. Whip remaining cream, sour cream, and cream cheese together until light and fluffy. Fold in cooled mixture.
  8. Pour into crust.
  9. Whip cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Fold in sour cream and check for desired sweetness. Using a spatula, spread topping over tart, creating peaks and whorls on surface.
  10. Slice lime into 1/8 inch rounds and cut each round once from center to the edge. Twist and place on the tart, spacing evenly. Sprinkle with remaining grated chocolate.
  11. Chill at least 3 hours or up to 8 hours.Serves 8 people or 3 hungry teenagers.
